Thomas Built Buses Photo Contest Winners Receive Donations

Five schools from around the nation recently received $2,000 each as prizes for their winning entries in school bus manufacturer Thomas Built Buses’ second annual photo contest.

The winning entries in the contest came from Joliet Township High School in Joliet, Ill.; Carver Elementary School in Tupelo, Miss.; Carlisle Elementary School in Boaz, Ala.; Clear Springs Elementary School in Excelsior, Minn.; and Moon Lake Elementary School in Rainsville, Ala.

Parents were asked to submit photo entries for the contest that best represented the spirit of the back-to-school season, and selected photos were then posted to the Thomas Built Buses Facebook page for the public to vote on their favorite pictures.  From there, the top 50 pictures were given to a panel of judges who chose the top five winners based on specific criteria.

The winners were awarded a donation to their child’s school.

“School buses have always been an iconic symbol for the back-to-school season and the excitement that goes with it,” said Thomas Built Buses president and CEO Caley Edgerly. “We thoroughly enjoyed all of the photos entered in our second-annual photo contest, and we were so pleased to be able to make donations to the winning schools again this year.”
