Is the Increasing Use of School Bus Recording Equipment Always a Good Thing?

With how frequently I write about increasing the presence of school bus recording equipment such as stop-arm cameras, you may think I am an outright proponent of school bus recording technology. But, as the technology improves and is used for a variety of ways, it is becoming increasingly obvious that the matter can be incredibly complex.

Specifically, many are wondering where the line between student safety and personal privacy lies. Considering Pennsylvania has authorized the use of recording equipment that can recrd audio from inside the bus, now seems like a good time to open up the conversation and decide just how far we want to go. As Evie Blad shows, more surveillance might not be healthy for our young bus passengers.
