The Guardian Angel safety lighting system has been approved for use on school buses in Arkansas, according to a report from School Bus Fleet.

The safety lighting system, designed and created by former school bus mechanic Steve Gardner, uses white flood lights mounts on the front bumper of school buses to better light the path for students to cross the street and make the children even more visible to other drivers.

Gardner said Guardian Angel was field tested at Bryant Public Schools in Arkansas, and now Arkansas is the 15th state in the nation to allow the use of the lighting system.
